Week 11, Term 1 Newsletter

Nau mai, haere mai e te whanau ki te wiki nei. “Nāu te rourou, nāku te rourou, ka ora ai te iwi With your food basket and my food basket the people will thrive”. Week 8, Term 1 Newsletter

Talofa lava Whanau, Kapa HakaI am super proud of our incredible Kapa Haka group. Over seventy students performed on Saturday at the Franklin Multicultural Festival. We had the largest group by far and won the Franklin Multicultural Trophy which is awarded for tautoko and kaupapa. We loved the huge amounts of whanau support. Week 7 Newsletter

Kia Orana and Bula Whanau, Today our Senior Student Council attended the GRIP Student Conference. They had lots of fun with their peers reflecting on student leadership. This included ideas and ways they would strengthen and expand leadership initiatives in our school. Thanks to Mr Meredith and Mr Buckingham for supporting.  Franklin Cultural Festival Tomorrow our kapa haka team is performing at the Franklin Cultural Festival. Ahiahi Marie e te Whanau,  What a great week it has been with our successful akonga.  Waitangi Falls UnveilingIt was a very special privilege to be part of the sign unveiling at Waitangi Falls with Franklin Council and Ngati Te Ata iwi. Our senior council and senior kapa haka students represented our kura with mana and mauri. We are super proud of everyone involved. Polyfest 2024 Newsletter

Kia Ora e te Whanau, On Wednesday 20th March, Polyfest 2024 begins. Ms Stuart will be taking a small group of Kapa Haka seniors to Polyfest. Those students will receive a separate notice on Monday. However if whanau would like to take their own children to Polyfest please email the school to let us know. Anyone can attend Polyfest, this is not just for Kapa Haka whanau. Franklin Multicultural Festival 2024

Saturday 10th March, Pukekohe Indian Hall Kia ora Whanau, We are so excited your child is in our Kapa Haka team. We will be having our kapa haka wananga and practise for Franklin Multicultural Festival this Sunday 10th March at Glenbrook School.   It starts at 12pm for the girls and 1pm for the boys and will finish around 3.30pm.
