I grew up in Otaua and Waiuku and completed my Bachelors degree in Primary Education at Waikato University and later completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Applied Practice (Digital and Collaborative Learning). I decided to move back to be closer to my family and to work in a rural school. I love playing hockey and going for hikes to explore our beautiful country. I have thoroughly enjoyed attending Hillary Outdoors camps over the past few years, which has fuelled my passion for EOTC. I am looking forward to another exciting and busy year at Glenbrook School!

I am originally from a small town called Stratford in the Taranaki region. I went on to study at the University of Waikato to gain my conjoint degree in Secondary Teaching and Health, Sport and Human Performance. After completing my studies last year, I was led to Auckland by the wide range of teaching opportunities, which is when I found Glenbrook School. I am really excited to teach at Glenbrook for another busy and enjoyable year. In my spare time, I love playing all kinds of sports, especially netball.

Ko Daryl tōku ingoa

Nō Waiuku āhau

Kia Ora, I have been fortunate to work with a wonderful team of teachers in Pouakai for the past two years. Having originally taught at Glenbrook, it has been my privilege to return and work with the wonderful students in year 7 and 8 and also a truly amazing staff. I live in Waiuku with my lovely wife (also a teacher) and two dogs (quite mischievous). I am lucky enough to truly enjoy what I do, but I  really enjoy teaching Mathematics and Physical Education the most. I enjoy being outdoors, such as hiking, running and cycling being my most enjoyed pursuits. Travel is also one of my true loves and time in our beautiful country as well as experiencing what the world has to offer a great motivator to get out there.
