Bachelor in Education

Graduate Diploma in Teaching.

Hello! Kia Ora!

I grew up in the Franklin area attending Waiuku college and then going on to complete a Bachelor of Education (ECE) at Manukau Institute of Technology. After completing my Bachelor, I taught in Early Childhood Education for approximately nine years becoming the Assistant Manager of a Preschool in Pukekohe. I then went on to complete a Postgraduate Diploma in Primary Teaching through Canterbury University. I have had the pleasure of teaching in Parekereke the Year 0-1 class at Glenbrook School for the past two years. I am excited to engage on a new learning journey in 2021.

I have a 13 year old son Jeremiah, who attends Waiuku College and my husband Rob works at the Glenbrook Steel Mill. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family and friends, going on walks and spending time at the beach.

Kia Ora!

I grew up in Waikato. After high school I attended the University of Waikato. I completed my Graduate Diploma of Teaching in 2000. In 2019 I graduated from The University of Auckland with a Graduate Diploma in TESSOL (Teaching English in Schools to Speakers of Other Languages). I have 2 beautiful girls: 8 year old Isla and 10 year old Niamh. We love to go on mini adventures together as a family, including exploring the stunning Awhitu peninsula, visiting Auckland Zoo and mountain biking in Rotorua Redwood Forest. This is my seventh year at Glenbrook School and as Deputy Principal I love being a part of the learning journey of all our amazing students. I am a passionate teacher and education leader who is excited about supporting and seeing the students in Team Haast realise their potential.
