Week 4, Term 4 2022
Nau mai, haere mai parents and whanau,
Parents Evening: Our Kids Online
Please join us tonight at 7pm for this presentation at the Glenbrook School hall. (No children are to attend, this is an ADULTS only evening). These are serious issues that we are all dealing with, that involve our children or our children will deal with, no matter what age your child is. There is no cost (Paid for by Glenbrook School).
Join Rob and the team. They are filmmakers and were asked to screen their documentary in Parliament last year. They have featured on The Breakfast Show in NZ as well as Radio and have been interviewed by several other media outlets in different countries, including having their film screened at a film festival in the USA, whose purpose is to stop the sex trafficking of children. They also had it screened at the Global Annual Conference to End Sexual Exploitation, held by the National Centre on Sexual Exploitation and we have worked with the Department of Internal Affairs and OCEANZ (Online Child Exploitation Across New Zealand team).

Akonui Hui (Parent Student Teacher Conferences)
Akonui Hui will be held on Thursday 17th November and Friday 18th November.
There will be no classes on these days. Please book your child’s interview on www.schoolinterviews.co.nz Code: ey934 This is now open.
Please note that Glenbrook School does not write traditional end of year reports. Your child’s assessment data, achievement levels and weekly learning achievements can be found on the Portal in Spotlight, Assessment and Achievement Report. This is a more up to date and timely reflection of what your child is achieving. Akonui Hui is the place to have a richer individual discussion about your child’s learning over the whole year. If you are unable to attend in person, you are welcome to book in via the school interviews website and then email the teacher to set up a google meet online. This will be done through your child’s school gmail. We would prefer students attend Akonui Hui with their parents (even if it’s online). They do not have to wear school uniform.
Paid Union Meeting
Teachers will be attending a paid union meeting on Monday 21st November. We are unable to staff our school safely, therefore school will close at 12.00pm.
