Week 10 Term 2 2016
Kia Ora Koutou and welcome Glenbrook whanau, parents and community.
Whakawhanaungatanga: At Glenbrook School we work as a community together.
It was an informative evening last Wednesday for parents and whanau who attended our evening on how we intend to use digital devices at Glenbrook School. It was great having our students show parents how we use google docs and timetabling as part of the learning process. More information about how, what and why we will be using BYOD across the school will be shared throughout term 3.
Ako: At Glenbrook School we are all learners
Thank you to all our speech finalist and whanau who supported them. Congratulations to Lexy C and Sophie S for winning the years 3 and 4 section. Our years 5 and 6 winner Rose H and our years 7 and 8 winner Erica W. Erica will be representing Glenbrook School tomorrow night at the Waiuku Speech finals. These are being held at the Rotary Club by the Waiuku library. It starts at 7.15 and all are welcome to attend in support. Reminders: Please remember: We finish school at 12pm on Friday. Teachers will be having professional development all afternoon. Reports will be coming home on Friday with your child. Celebrating Success On Thursday we will be having a mufti day and a movie with the Principal. Students can wear their onesies or PJ’s! It is a gold coin donation.
It has been a hectic but exciting term. Thank you to everyone for your continued support and your interest in what we do at school. Most of all thank you to our wonderful teachers and support staff for their never ending hard work, commitment to our values and just for being great people.
We have an excellent team at Glenbrook School and I am very grateful for you all. Enjoy the time with your beautiful children and we look forward to another fun filled, action packed, learning focused term.
