ATTENTION WHANAU
Glenbrook School Gala is on Saturday 14th March. Our Gala Team humbly asks if any families, Friends of the School or other kind person are able to make donations towards our auction, we would be very thankful. These can include services, items or a donation of time away at a holiday home or campervan, that we may be able to auction a week/weekend away for a family to bid at Gala.
Grocery items
We also ask for donations of groceries from families. Each grocery items earns students Whanau points. Items are collected in the classroom in a box. The class who brings in the most items wins fish and chips!
We would like students to bring in at least one of the following items each week:
Monday 17th – 21st Feb Canned
Monday 24th – 28th Feb Packets
Monday 2nd- 6th Mar Bottles
Please do not send expired items.
Thank you in advance,
Glenbrook School
Baking
On Friday 13th March we ask that each family send to school a plate for baking which will be sold at our GALA on Saturday 14th March.
Baking will need to be brought to the hall kitchen. Each plate of home made baking earns the student 10 Whanau points.
Glenbrook School is becoming more and more enviro-conscious and the plastic wrapping and plastic plates are just not the right fit for us anymore. We ask that families please bring their baking in re-purposed containers (such as clean takeaway containers that can be re-cycled, cake boxes and domes from previously store bought cakes etc). The less waste and more-recycling and re-purposing the better! We will still have the usual cake boxes to re-package or if you like, you can ask for one from the office prior to baking & bring the baking in already packaged.
Offers of help to set up the baking the day before (Friday March 13th) would be greatly appreciated and also help selling on the cake stall on the day. We will be setting up in the school hall kitchen from 9am on the Friday morning.
Feel free to contact Paula on 021650027 for any information.
Thank you everyone!!
