The students of Te Moana have hit the ground running, with a new learning environment new and known expectations and also a new kaiako. We are going through our classroom processes and procedures, and putting our hands in to develop our classroom treaty. We have learnt AKONGA – AE and also about HAPPY Face and SAD Face and a little more about our new enthusiastic always singing kaiako Whaea Ma.

TE MOANA MORNING ROUTINE
KARAKIA – Each student of Te Moana and Glenbrook school learns our school karakia and every morning the students of Te Moana recite the karakia to begin our day.
Karakia to be posted shortly.
MIHI – Students of Te Moana and Glenbrook school write their own mihi or adopt an area where they live. Every student in Te Moana have worked on their mihi and are now preparing to publish. Their mihi will be displayed in our classroom shortly. Students will take turns to recite their mihi each morning. Students keep an eye out on who will be next via the teacher board.
WAIATA – Students of Te Moana sing each and every morning, they have lovely singing voices, and have invited other classes into our morning routines as well.

SELF PORTRAITS 6 FAVOURITE THINGS – Showing manaakitanga by helping our buddy class come up with their favourite things to put into their self portraits, even though they did pretty awesome themselves well done.
