Week 3 Term 3 2015

Last week it was great to have a visit from our Calf Club judges. There were some very excited students who have already begun preparing their lambs, calves, rabbits, horses and even what they will do when calling their chickens. Many students gathered their potatoes and grass seeds. Calf Club is a special time for Glenbrook School and is part of our rural heritage. We do expect our students to participate in this wonderful time which they will recall for many years to come. Entry forms have gone home today and need to be returned by Friday 18 September.

Today we were visited by coaches from Football NZ. They were giving our children a taster of their lunchtime programme. A notice went home yesterday for those students who are interested in participating. We are also looking at having our own fun Rippa Rugby day later on in the term. Students need to complete a registration form so we have an indication of students who will be participating. Rippa Rugby fun day is being supported by the Counties Manukau Rugby Football Club.

On Thursday we are having a mufti day with an All Blacks rugby theme. It is a gold coin donation. The purpose of the All Black theme is to enter our school into a competition which could win us a visit from the All Blacks.
