I grew up in Papakura and now live in Karaka, and my journey into teaching began at the University of Auckland’s Tai Tonga Campus, where I completed my Bachelor of Education. Teaching has always been my dream, and I’m passionate about helping young learners grow in confidence and develop a love for learning. Outside the classroom, I’m often behind a camera capturing the energy of sports and I’m also a keen hip hop dancer who finds joy and creativity in performance. The arts are a big part of who I am and I love seeing tamariki express themselves through painting, drawing, creating and performing, building confidence and problem-solving skills along the way. At the heart of my teaching is a focus on trust, connection and inclusive practice and I’m excited to lead Team Kereru again as we head into another year of learning, celebrating and growing together.
