My name is Jamie, and I am thrilled to welcome you and your child to Te Marama for their Year 5 at Glenbrook School! I am honored to join the Glenbrook School whānau this year, and I am excited to embark on this journey of learning, growth, and connection with your tamariki.

A little about me: I live in Waiuku with my partner Jason, our two daughters, and our dog Pablo. I was born and raised in the Manawatū region, in Palmerston North. Teaching runs in my blood, as I come from a family of passionate educators who have instilled in me a deep love for learning and sharing knowledge. I completed my teaching studies at Massey University, having previously worked as a Registered Nurse with a background in paediatrics.

I am passionate about creating learning contexts which allow learners to bring who they are entirely into a safe classroom environment where their knowledge is valued and legitimised. My akomanga is one where rangatahi and kaiako thrive among clear boundaries, feel safety in reliable systems and hold a genuine mutual respect for one another.

I believe in the power of partnership, so I look forward to working closely with you to ensure the best possible outcomes for your child. Whether it’s through open communication, shared goals, or celebrating milestones together, I am committed to making this year a rewarding and memorable experience for all.

Please feel free to reach out to me anytime if you have questions, concerns, or insights about your child’s learning journey. You can contact me via email at lambertj@glenbrook.school.nz or through the school office.
