Swimming
As part of our school’s aquatic programme, all students are expected to bring named togs, a rash shirt, and a towel, in a waterproof bag, to school each day during the swimming season. If a student is unable to participate for health or medical reasons, please send a written note or email to the class teacher.
Our swimming programme begins in Term 1. Students may not swim if they have open cuts, school sores, or any condition that may pose a health risk.
All students must bring suitable swimming gear. Students with long hair must have it tied back, and girls are required to wear a one-piece swimsuit. We are fortunate to have a school pool, offering a valuable opportunity for tamariki to learn water safety and swimming skills. Our programme aligns with the Health and Physical Education curriculum and is supported by the Kiwi Swim Safe Programme.
Years 4–8 may have fun swims during Taakaro Time; however, students who do not participate in their class swimming lesson will not be able to join the fun swim on that day.
