Medication at school

For safety reasons it is preferable that medication is not brought to school. If medication is required then three times per day (once before school, once after school, and once in the evening) is favoured.

If a child is required to take medication at school then the office must be informed. Please ensure the medication is clearly labelled (name plus dosage) and handed into the office so that it can be kept in the lockable medicine cabinet in the sickbay.

It is the parent’s responsibility to inform the school of any medical issues pertaining to their child. This includes allergies and emergency contacts. Please ensure any updated medical details are relayed to the school as soon as practical. If emergency medications are required to be kept at school it is the parents responsibility to ensure expiry dates are checked and medicines are updated.
