Home Learning

In 2026, our approach to Home Learning is evolving to better support the wellbeing and learning success of all our tamariki with a multi-curriculum approach. Each term, we will share a clear Home Learning overview that reflects your child’s stage of learning, strengthens partnership between school and home.

Daily reading will remain our most important and consistent expectation. Ten to fifteen minutes of reading each day has a powerful impact on vocabulary, comprehension, and confidence, no matter a child’s age. We warmly encourage whaanau to enjoy this time together, reading to your child, listening to them read, or talking about books and stories.

Alongside reading, Home Learning will focus on purposeful learning tasks that reinforce classroom teaching, build independence, and nurture curiosity within the learning themes of each term.
