Haast Summer Camp @ Awhitu Pensinula

Our Year 7 & 8 students enjoyed beautiful weather and an outstanding EOTC experience on a three day camp on the Awhitu Peninsula.  A heart felt ‘Thank You’ goes to the wonderful parents who provided their boats and equipment, supervised the activities, organised the food, and supported the children. Activities included: tenting, yachting, kayaking, sea biscuiting, fishing (boat and shore) bush walk, orienteering, team building, and surf lifesaving.

Swim for Life 200 metres – 12th Feb

Te Rakau Nui students swam 8 lengths of our school pool without stopping to achieve their Swim for Life Certificates. Well done!

Freeze Frame PB4L Learning

Te Rakau Nui students used the ‘Freeze Frame’ dramatic technique to show their understanding of PB4L (Positive Behaviour for Learning) in the Library.

Peer Mediator Training

Our Students, from Year 6 to Year 8, have the opportunity to be trained as Peer Mediators in our playground through the Cool School’s Programme. Our Peer Mediators are taught the skills and strategies that support conflict resolution.

WAIUKU CALF CLUB GROUP DAY

Congratulations to Te Rakau Nui students who represented Glenbrook School at the Waiuku Calf Club Group Day.  Thank you to all our parents and Calf Club committee for your continued support and assistance.
