Behaviour
Glenbrook School sets clear and consistent expectations for positive, respectful, and engaged behaviour. We recognise that behaviour and learning are closely connected, and our schoolwide approach supports students to flourish academically, socially, and emotionally.
Students are explicitly taught expected behaviours through a range of proactive and relational approaches. Positive choices are acknowledged through our Realising Potential slips and Whaanau Points, which celebrate students’ demonstration of our School Values and Qualities of Learning.
Programmes such as Purposeful Play, Peer Mediation, Mitey, and Cool Schools further strengthen conflict resolution, negotiation, emotional literacy, and social skills across the kura.
Where major or ongoing concerning behaviours occur, parents and caregivers will be contacted promptly so that home and school can work together to support the student.
