Kia ora Whaanau,

What a fantastic end to the week with our Team Pīwakawaka Funletics event today! We were thrilled to see so many whaanau join us to support and cheer on our youngest athletes. A huge thank you to our staff for organising, and to our Year 8 students for leading. Remember, we are closed on Monday for Labour Day.

Our aakonga looked wonderful in their Book Character mufti outfits on Wednesday. Thank you to everyone who supported our Book Fair, and to Ms Greenstock and Ms Clark for their efforts in organising it. This coming Thursday, 31st October, we’ll be having a Halloween mufti day.

Congratulations to Eva C. and George A., who represented Glenbrook at Franklin Tennis on Tuesday—ka pai, koorua! Next week, several teams will be competing at Franklin Touch Rugby. Students in Years 4–8 who would like to compete in the 1500m race will have their opportunity before Friday. On Friday, our Years 4–8 students should wear their whaanau colours for our Glenbrook School Athletics Day.

The Waiuku School Art Exhibition opens on Tuesday, 29th October, at 7 p.m. at View Road School. Come along and see the “Kiwiana” artworks from our Year 7 & 8 students.
