Week 2, Term 3 2024 Newsletter

Well done to our akonga who have been working hard to meet the criteria within the William Pike Challenge Challenge. We had a great visit to the Nikau Caves last week. This week we have teams competing at the Franklin hockey competition. Well done and the best of luck to all involved.

Science in a Van

On Thursday we have Science in a Van visiting. Akonga in years 0-7 will learn about forces and sound. You can check out Science in a Van on their website: https://www.scienceinavan.co.nz/

Miss Allan’s last day is on Friday 13th September as she travels overseas for her OE. Miss Burt returns from her travels on September 18th. Miss Burt will replace Miss Allan in Te Marama. Miss Sixsmith will be on maternity leave next term.

Homework

Well done to all those akonga who completed their STEPs Web tasks this week. Please encourage your child to complete their STEPs tasks if they are assigned them as it makes a huge difference to their spelling and vocabulary work.

Team Newsletters

A reminder to check your child’s team newsletter as it shares what learning is happening in the classes, which akonga have completed homework for the week and up and coming events for the Team.
